Delisted provider reminders

When our Fraud Risk Management team (FRM) started our delisted providers list, we started including an update in the Focus Update newsletters. We wanted to help ensure that our Clients learned to check the list periodically. By checking the list, plan members wouldn’t use a delisted provider by mistake. Using a delisted provider results in a claim being declined.

Delisting is now a normal and regular occurrence. And so we’ve decided to stop including these update reminders in the Focus Update emails.

Remember, you and your employees can sign into mysunlife.ca to see the full list of delisted providers.

Administrators who don’t have access to the mysunlife.ca password-protected site can find the list of providers on the secure Plan Sponsor Services site. It’s on the left side of the home page.

Some additional details to note:

  • When we delist a health-care or service provider, we’ll continue to send a letter to plan members who’ve submitted a claim for this provider in the last one or two years, depending on the specifics of the plan.
  • If you or your employees are looking for a new health-care provider, you can use Lumino Provider Search. Health-care providers on Lumino Provider Search are trusted providers.
  • Please share the attached plan member communication with your employees. This can help to remind them of the importance of using approved health-care and service providers.
