Sun Life Review Process: How We Create and Review Content

Last updated: April 23, 2024

At Sun Life, we’re devoted to making sure all content across sunlife.ca is accurate, relevant, and transparent. We aim to provide information that helps you understand which products can best serve your financial goals and needs. All our informational and editorial pages are created by our copywriters in collaboration with our product managers, subject matter experts, compliance managers and lawyers.

Our content review process

Here’s a brief step-by-step outline of how our review process works:

  1. Content (product pages and editorial articles) is initially researched and drafted by copywriters.
  2. Content is distributed to relevant subject matter experts (SMEs), lawyers and compliance managers, who then fact-check, provide feedback and clarification on the accuracy of the content we’re creating.
  3. Our writers ensure the copy adheres to our expert feedback before pushing to publication.

We write, edit, and manage the product pages and articles you’ll find on sunlife.ca. We create content that’s aligned with what Canadians are looking for across search engine platforms such as Google, Bing, etc. Wherever possible, we use plain language and examples to help you better understand our content and to provide transparency around how our products work.

Our team strives to consistently update our product pages and articles to make sure any information we present remains relevant. Any updated content has been time-stamped on the webpage to reflect its changes.
