Volunteer work

Sun Life Women's Charitable Golf Tournament*, 2012 – 2019: Liane volunteered as an event planner for this tournament. The tournament raised funds for charitable organizations such as the Brain Injury Association of Waterloo, the Alzheimer’s society of Waterloo-Wellington and Innisfree house and Lisaard house (hospice care).

*Please note: Sun Life has approved use of the company name in the event title, but this is not a company-sponsored event. This is a group of Sun Life employees who volunteer to organize an event to raise money for a local charities. This charitable event was closed after 2019 due to the pandemic.

Canadian Living Benefits Seminar (CLBS)*, 2015 – 2021: Liane has volunteered as an event planner for this seminar.  She helped select the event themes, coordinated with guest speakers, planned menus, shared hosting duties, and built PowerPoint decks for the events.

*The CLBS is a non-profit association that plans a yearly meeting for senior members of the insurance industry. Members are made up individuals who work for insurance companies across Canada that produce and sell disability income insurance, critical illness insurance, and long-term care insurance.
